Storm Water Management
Water drainage does not follow usually follow man made property lines. At Site Engineering Technology Inc. we review the existing drainage and how the existing system
drains. It is preferred to utilized the existing drainage pattern where possible. The storm pond purpose is for the water (that is no longer able to be absorbed into
the ground) to be stored, and released as a rate outlined in the provincial, and local authorities. A synthetic storm calculation is applied to the site, based upon provinicial or local guidelines, and the new allowable absorption into a surface. A grading plan is created from the storm water management plan flow patterns, where a cut and fill drawing shows the difference from the existing ground to the new surface elevation.
A subdivision plan drawing set shows an overall water strategy. A storm water strategy can have lots requiring water storage and discharge rates. The strategy is developed by taking into account the local area storm requirements
